South of Scotland MSP, Jim Hume, has today lodged several Parliamentary Questions on the issue of road improvements on the A7 at Auchenrivock in Dumfries.

Jim Hume said:

“The previous Executive agreed to provide money to carry out the much needed road improvements at this location.

“The work was due to start this summer, but some concern has been expressed locally that there may be delays.

The MSP continued:

“I have asked the Cabinet Secretary for assurances that the Executive is still committed to the project and that the work will commence as planned.

“I hope to be able to report back to the A7 Action Group Meeting on 13th July with the Cabinet Secretary’s response.”
